Violet Markey and Theodore Finch are both high school seniors. Violet is popular while Theodore is the school freak. After a terrible accident where a family member dies these two finally meet. A strange coincidence. They almost throw themselves out of a window at the exact time. Wanting to end it all, but they help eachother and stay together.

After Theodore encoureged Violet to not end it all, she returns the favour. A romantic story is on the way.  At school they have to work on a project togheter. Soon enough they begin to wander. Violet and Theodore see a lot of things in their state. Everything seems extra special considering they are in love. The rest of their story is history.

This movie wasn`t at all what I expected. I didn`t quite read the indrutaction so the plot was a suprise. Still I wouldn`t change anything about that. I liked how this movie showcased the different situations these two teenagers were going through. How a person, who is dealing with a loss and the other has a mental disorder can help eachother is incredible. They helped one another in the most easiest way even tho they were both struggling and I really liked that. The movie was filmed in a bright setting, which was often confusing, because you didn`t know what was exactly coming next. You just have to focus on the little details, cause they will definitely have a big impact in the end. Personally I give this movie a 7.5 / 10. Just because I hoped that it would have been a tiny bit better ploted. This is a genuine experience.
