Summary

The story unfolds in a story to a village in 1983. A mentally challenged man, Mehmet Koyuncu (Memo), lives with his young daughter Ova and his grandmother on a hillside. This little family lives happily until his world is turned upside down when he is falsely charged with murdering a little girl, Ovas classmate, who had died due to an accident. Memo ends up being sent to prison for the crime he didn`t commit. Despite being without her dad, Ova vows to prove her dads innocence. Here is the point where this story takes a big turn.

My Review

I truly don`t know where to begin on this one. The movie was spot on at activating some very strong emotional reactions. The two main characters Memo and Ova had the most amazing chemistry. I was very impressed on how some scenes where filmed. The directors did an outstandig job on the filming. You sometimes put yourself in the positons of the people standing around in the parts, to experience it on another level and how you personally would react, which is heartbreaking. It really showed how important your family is and how everyone will fight for oneanother especially if they are innocent. I was captivated from the beginning, which doesn`t happen very often. I was an emotional wreck by the end of the first ten minutes. If you want to watch this movie soon, I recommend a whole pack of tissues. You are definently going to need it. :)
