She`s The Man

Summary

The movie " She`s the man " focuses on high school . The main character Viola loves playing soccer. On a school day, when they were supposed to be at football practise, they see the lacrosse team playing on their field. Soon enough a girl tells her, that her high school cut the women`s soccer team. Walking to the coach of the boys soccer team, he tells her the information, that a big game is coming up an they just can`t lose. A little while later, when Viola gets at home, she sees her brother packing up his bags. Sebastian told their mother that he will be staying at their fathers house. Meanwhile he is sneaking away for a few weeks. He asks Viola to cover for him while he`s gone. Soon enough Viola comes up with an idea. Since her brother is going to college, she will dress up as him and play for his soccer team to win the big game against the rivaly team. Viola wants to prove the point that girls are as strong as boys an can win anything. The rough path begins where Viola is pretending to be Sebastian without blowing up her cover, which is harder than she truly expexted.

My Review

This movie was kind of a roller coaster. It had a lot of cliche type of things in the plot, which didn`t change the fact, that a few remarkable sentences came along. When the girls soccer team got cancelled, Viola remebered the things her boyfriend, Justin, said to her before this whole situation. He told her that she was better than half the boys on his team. Viola found the perfect time to mention this, when all of his teammates were around, which wasn`t good for him. Viola felt a lot of anger whe no one took her seriously, just because she was a girl. When the oppurtinity comes up to play with her "boys" rival team she takes it, even if she has to walk around like a boy. Viola will take any chance to prove to her couch that it doesn`t matter if the girls or boys team is better. There needs to be more equilibrium in the sports industry, which is exiting to watch. The faces in the end, when everything is revealed are hilarious.
